Jean Lin was appointed as a new Executive Officer at Dentsu Group Inc., with effective on August 1st, 2021. She also continues her current position as the Global CEO, Creative, at Dentsu International leading dentsu’s creative, design, PR and innovation agencies outside of Japan, including the award-winning dentsumcgarrybowen, Isobar, 360i, and dentsuOne. Jean is also a member of Dentsu International Global Executive Board, which she served since January 2016. As an entrepreneur and advocate for the power of ideas, Jean founded her digital agency wwwins Consulting to explore the intersection of data, creativity and technology. After wwwins acquired by Isobar, Jean was tasked to drive the success of Isobar in Asia Pacific, and then elevated to become Global CEO of Isobar in 2014. Described herself as an “Idea and Culture Engineer”, she always believes that creativity is the last legal unfair advantage for agencies, and creativity is there to solve business problems, and make people’s lives better. In today’s experience economy powerful ideas need to be carefully crafted and skillfully engineered, to elevate human experience, and deliver creative impact at scale. In her new role with Dentsu Group, Jean will advise and guide the development of dentsu Sustainable Business Solutions (dSBS) across dentsu japan network and dentsu international, to accelerate client growth by bringing together dentsu’s deep understanding of consumers and commitments to society, with creativity and technology, to create an ecosystem of co-creation with clients and partners to drive ‘growth from good.’ Jean was named one of 30 global “Women to Watch” by Advertising Age in 2009; ranked amongst Asia Pacific’s top female talent in 2010 and selected as one of the region’s Top 5 CEOs by Campaign Asia Pacific in 2013. Jean was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Campaign’s Digital A-List in 2015 together with Jack Ma (Alibaba), Pony Ma (Tencent), and Robin Li (Baidu). Under her leadership, Campaign Asia Pacific has awarded Digital Agency Network of the Year to Isobar six times. In 2020 research firm Gartner, Inc. placed Isobar in the Leaders quadrant in its “Magic Quadrant for Global Digital Marketing Agencies” for the sixth consecutive time and Forrester recognised Isobar as a Strong Performer in “The Forrester Wave™: Digital Experience Agencies, Q4 2019.” Jean is known for her keen interest in the progress of modern creativity, serving as Jury President for the Cannes Lions Cyber Jury in 2015 and again in June 2018 as Jury President for the Cannes Lions Digital Craft category. Jean will be jury president for the D&AD e-Commerce jury and Black Pencil jury in 2021. Jean is a frequent industry speaker on major events to champion the business and human impact of transformative experiences.
