Alejandra Chacón is a sociologist, with a specialization in Social Psychology. For more than 15 years, she has developed her professional career in advertising, working in media and creative agencies as Strategy Director. She currently is the Strategy Director at Havas Media Group. Alejandra is interested in understanding what lies behind what we do not usually see. For this reason, she carried out her TFG about life in prison, interviewing inmates during months. She has also codirected the first research done in Spain about Sex male worker and its relationship with HIV rates. As a sociologist with a sincere passion about gender issues and its representation, she has always fought against the use of gender stereotypes across the advertising industry. In 2018 she was invited by the CdC advertising festival, one of the most prominent festival in the country, to host the lecture “Gender Blindness” which quickly became top 10 trending topic in Spain. She has also collaborated in different projects that pursue a less stereotypical adverting industry such as #Over Project, with Club de creativos or 36Hz Project with “Mas Mujeres Creativas” which aim to increase the visibility of young female creative roles. In 2020 she was chosen as “LinkedIn Top Voices” in Spain for her relentless educational work about gender issues. In 2021 the industry voted Alejandra as “Planner of the year” in the awards instituted by CTRL Magazine, an historical advertising magazine.
