The Gerety Awards redefine the standard to which advertising is held. Named after Frances Gerety, the copywriter who coined the slogan “A diamond is forever”, the awards mark the first time that juries have been brought together to select the best in advertising – all advertising, not just advertising made for women – through the female lens. Women make up to 80% of all purchasing decisions globally, and so our talented judging panels set a new benchmark for creative communications relevant to market reality. We’re unique in that our sessions are held around the world, with international Executive Juries of agency and brand leaders determining a shortlist of finalists, which is then submitted to a Grand Jury of creative experts, creating a truly diverse and qualitative winners showcase across multiple creative disciplines. By determining winners based on scores achieved across the board of international juries – regardless of the product advertised or medium submitted – ensures that only the very best work, that resonates with the world’s most powerful consumers, is awarded.

The Cuts
Instead of categories, the Gerety Awards are judged by Cut’s (like a diamond). There are ten possible Cuts to enter, and any type of media can be submitted within each.
TV/Cinema, Print, Alternative, Online Films, Digital, Radio, Product and Packaging Design, Integrated and Campaigns can be entered in to any of the Cuts. Judging will be based on the entries received in each Cut, regardless of medium. The single entry fee is €290 for all Cut’s, with the exception of the Portfolio Cut, which is €600. Campaign entries are charged per execution. For judging purposes, submitting your entry in English is strongly recommended. Non-English entries must include English subtitles or a written translation.

Enter your work
The Gerety Awards reward the highest and purest of creative excellence in advertising and communications. Entries are judged on the originality of the creative idea and the quality of its execution.
A numerical voting system is used and winners determined by the absolute scores achieved across our global juries, regardless of the product advertised or medium submitted, with entries grouped and judged together simply in the Cut that they are entered. This is what makes us different from other shows, alongside the incredible lineup of female talent in the juries themselves.
International Executive Juries formed of some of the world’s best creatives come together around the world to determine a short-list of finalists that is then submitted to our Grand Jury of diverse experts for final evaluation, where prizes are awarded. So, what are you waiting for?

The Cabinet
Winning an award also means winning one of our bespoke ‘Fire’ trophies…
Each entry awarded bronze upwards receives one of our unique, handmade trophies, created by artists Carla Bossi and Francesc Fusté from @txtartebcn in Barcelona. The statue represents the creation of a diamond; the flames from burning carbon from which the gem is born, just like the restless flames of creatives searching for originality and essentialism. Gold, Silver and Bronze winners receive a sleek, polished black design, with all Grand Prix winners receiving a textured grey variant, resembling a burning volcanic stone.
Additional statues, and our unique concrete-cast certificates, can be purchased. Gold, Silver and Bronze statues are €350, Grand Prix statues €500, and Winner Certificates €200, not including courier costs. Please contact us at thecabinet@geretyawards.com with details of the specific award(s) required.
